Merry Christmas!

Well, Merry Christmas Eve AND Christmas everyone! Things have been so hectic lately! I've been working 3 jobs, spending time with my family and the surf, and trying to get adjusted before I move off to a new University, which I will start in March =D ! I'm pretty excited. So, Story of the day;

For those of you who have been to my house, you know that our driveway is very long and has our mailbox at the end of it. Well, you also know that there is a slight hill/dip at then end of it as well. WELL I was getting off work one day, and I decided to pull up next to the mail box, and get the mail. I pull up, put the truck in park, and step out the door. JUST THEN the truck door (which are super heavy since my Dad got new ones) shut on me, closing my hip, and part of my leg and arm in it - I was pinned. Then the truck started rolling backwards. It was so scary and I thought I was going to get pretty messed up. Luckily I managed to pry the door open and stop the truck. I was so blessed to be able to get out, but that feeling was quickly over powered by horrible pain. I plan on going to the doctor soon because the swelling, bruising and pain hasn't gotten any better. But until then I'm enjoying the time I have with family and glad that was all that happened!

Anyways, that's my blog and Story for the day. Hope your holiday's are the best and you are surrounded with love!

what a year, what a year!

HOLA! it's been a great while. Well a lot has happened since the last blog. obviously. but it's been fun. I have been watching/nannying for this family back home and it's been so much fun! The kids are great and the Money is up there- AND- I recently got a second job working at the old restaurant I worked at before I left to Utah. It's so much fun. The best part is, an old high school buddy of mine is pretty much running the restaurant and told me he'd hire me over the bakery portion. I'm so Excited! I will be in Pastry heaven! Also. MERIDITH IS HOME! my long lost sister who has been on a mission the last 1 1/2! it has been pretty hectic around the house but I love these moments. Meridith got a job with the school district Substituting and tutoring until she moves to Utah in January. We are actually going down near the San Diego area to see one of the Elders she served with give his homecoming Talk. I'm pretty excited because I LOVE that area and almost went there for school. We'll see if that's where I'm going to live next as I check out the area. PLUS it's a home to my FAVORITE temple. Anyways, Funny story time.

Thursday Night we carved pumpkins for the enrichment activity. I was asked to help so I showed up supervising to make sure none of the kids cut themselves with the carving knives. Well good news is- no one got hurt.....with a carving knife... I was asked to carve the extra pumpkin that had been left. So as I put as much as my "creativity" into this pumpkin as I could- I was so proud of the outcome. I had actually done an awesome job! that's rare. As I put the pumpkin with a silhouette of a witch flying passed the moon up onto the stage, I was sadden by what happened next...the very fragile witch's head, fell off. I realized this could be a quick fix with a few toothpicks, so I go into the kitchen looking, but didn't find any. I thought to myself "hmmmm, what could I improvise a toothpick with?" ah-ha! Plastic fork prongs! I am about to pull the plastic prongs off of the fork when I remember that it hurts your fingertips when you do. so thinking I out-smarted the situation, I decide to put the curved end of the fork upwards, on the edge of the counter, push down with my fist, and hold the prongs with my other hand....bad idea. I put pressure on the fork and the prongs break off, but what does the rest of the jagged fork do? comes up and slits my wrist! downwards (which apparently is worse than side to side)and blood gushes out EVERYWHERE! just thinking it is nothing to be worried about, I immediately grab a paper towel and apply pressure. Later on my dad comes into the kitchen and helps and we manage to bandage it up. While debating about going to the hospital, thoughts come through my head... could you imagine sitting there with slit wrist and explaining to the doctor "No seriously Doc, I was carving pumpkins at a church activity when we were out of toothpicks, so I take this plastic fork right?...." meanwhile they put me on suicide watch and send me to a shrink! haha

anyways...maybe I'll find that more amusing than others but it just goes to show you you can never be too careful...and just when you think you are...you're wrong. OH! last note for the night. Meridith Dyed my hair...so here are some pictures!

Loving the Country! (pics come later)

HI EVERYONE! It's been a while since I've been on here! Well a lo has happened since my last post but just an update. I've been in North Dakota for the last week and a half and Love it! it is SO beautiful out here! While most of the people I tell that to that live out here say "oh well just wait until the winter time!" I still am amazed by the beauty. Sine I've been here Stuart and I have been up to Lake Metigoshe to spend time and go boating with the billings, gone swimming in a couple of rivers, seen fort Lincoln (which is also the Home of General Custer for a while) been to a few of the museums and site seeing. We also managed to boat up to Canada which was awesome. It's been so fun being here, and I've been blessed with meeting the people I have, and visited the places I've been. I leave Saturday night and know I am going to be so sad!! =( But I am grateful I was even able to come here in the firs place. Seeing Stuart after the longest 3 weeks of my life was so rewarding! I would also like to thank Nancy and Kent Danielson for there sweet hearts and spoiling me. And Lindsey Billings and Collete Owen for giving me a place to stay. They are the funnest. Anyways, I'm sure my grammer was off this blog but I was in a rush - need to be doing fun things before my trip is over, what's on the schedule today? Fun with the Danielson family, Institute and tomorrow? GOING TO TUTTLE TO SEE THE FAMILY FARM! until then!

July is voted for ....

Most eventful month! So far this month I've ran the 5K, well walked too, Met Stuart's amazing mom, Was able to witness a beautiful Daughter of our Heavenly father brought into this world (Congrats Hiller family!) and Had Stuart's car broken into, and Had my purse stolen right before I bought a car. So I'm pretty sure this month alone has been pretty eventful. In case you didn't hear the scoop, Stuart and I were at Wal*Mart about 3 parking slots from the door when a red older Toyota pick up truck parked right by us. Stuart and I were in for no more than ten minuted when we came out and went to his Jeep. All of the sudden you hear a "ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" from Stuart's mouth. I go around and we look to see his window partially broken out. We search his car and find nothing stolen. Then as I go home to confirm my loan amount online I realize I need my license. I get up to get it when all of the sudden it's nowhere to be found. I knew that stuart and I had wanted to go swimming so I knoew only to take my phone to wal*mart before hand, not my purse. I was wrong. I check my onlilne bank statement and find that my card is apparently in Salt Lake being used to get gas and McDonalds. So far. I start crying thinking how could I be so stupid to leave it in the car. but Then I remembered that I hid it REALLY well from when I was coming home from work, and had just forgotten to take it out. We call the officer that helped us at Wal*mart and explained what happened.

I start to calm down when I realize my DIGITAL CAMERA was in there. And not just regular pictures were on it. Pictures from my grandparents farewell and Stuart proposing were on it. Then I realize my new memory cards that were pretty expensive were in there, and my temple recommend. As much as I would like to catch the jerks that did this and attack them, I realize this is where forgiveness should step in. They actually taught me that I need to be more careful and make sure my purse IS where IT IS. luckily none of these material things will matter later on in life. maybe even a year from now. But everyone has the right to be a little upset after their purse gets stolen right? ;)

Happy 4th Of July Everyone!!!

First off I would just like to say I feel sorry for Brother Danielson who has to spend today alone! He is a young Veteran and should be having fun with all of us! haha Well so far so good. Thursday, Stuart and I were able to go up to the Hiller (parent's) residence and watch some illegal Fireworks, THAT was awesome. Then last night Stuart, Serena, Jesse, a couple of Jesse's Friends, Sister Danielson (Mom) and Sherie Echols and I went to go watch the fireworks at the Golf coarse but got lost so ended up driving around, it was PERFECT though because we were able to see fireworks everyone including Layton since we were so high up, when we finally got to the coarse it was about ten minutes to ending, but still great.

This Morning Serena and I woke up a little after six a.m. and went to the Centerville 5K Freedom run. It was then I realized how out of Shape I am. BUT we finished. We came back, took a nap and at anytime now everyone ELSE will wake up and meet at the Hiller residence. Heidi, Why isn't your baby out yet? I think she is well overdone. =) I'm Excited to see another Daughter of our heavenly Father to come into this world and to see how cute she is! Until then everyone, Have a happy Fourth of July and be safe! Take this time to remember how blessed we've been and thank the men who have served our country. Love you all,

Chelsey

'Tis the Season...for Car accidents.

So I'm actually early leaving for Church when I forget my reading glasses (I had the lesson) and so I run back home, grab them, and go back on my way again. I was still running early, and proud of myself lol when all of the sudden A car heading East decided he didn't want to stop at his light that had been red for a while. He noticed me last minute and so he sped up thinking he could avoid the impact. He couldn't. Nothing Could. I T-boned him going 35 m.p.h, he was going 40. his whole passenger side of his new Honda Accord was THRASHED. and His vehicle is totalled. My Trucks whole front end got smashed in , and my airbags didn't even deployee. My knee slammed into the dash and has started bruising already. Both the man and his wife were ok, she was only complaining of soreness in the sternm area. Sorry Lady, not gonna get insurance medical info out of me. It was YOUR guys's fault. I came home after church ( yes I still went and taught my lesson =) and called both insurance parties, Set up a rental car, and tried not to freak out. Later, one of the room mates Lisa, told me that a couple days ago, A tow Truck wasn't paying attention, slammed through moveable barriars*, and killed one, injuring many. What's up with all of this? I can proudly say at least I was driving safe and cautously. BUT just goes to show it can happen to anyone. so please, don't speed, keep your eyes open and be alert. There is no need for heartache, Hassle or spendy insurance policies. =)

Back from Cali

So this last week I was able to go to Cali - Last minute. IT was a learning experience for me big time because a few different things happened. While I wasn't helping my Mom, and family, Stormy and I were able to do some fun activities. We even got to see the Redwoods and go to the beach and river, which is great because those were pretty much my backyard. I forgot what a beautiful place I live in. it's great! One day we were able to go River Rafting - and I almost died. twice. but it's all good because I am still alive and kicking! I am trying my hardest to get set back in the real world but it's been hard. I miss my family so much though! here are some pictures!

Just dance

Hi everybody! it's been a small while since my last blog. Well, first off, I am proud to anounce that I am working a second job as a Nanny. It's been fun, there is only one child, and he is 6 going on 12. He is so smart! I learn something new everytime I go over there! He likes to teach me about Hurricane and how they are formed. It's great. I'm still working my regular job as a medical assistant though too. That came in handy today as I was chasing down Smokey (the Kid I nanny for) and bashed my ankle RIGHT into the solid oak handle of a reclining chair. IT hurt but I just started laughing hoping THAT would take the pain away. good times. This last weekend was fun, as you probably saw from my Facebook Pictures, we went to a YSA activity and dance and then later went Ice blocking. here are some pictures from both of those as well. As far as new news goes, Not a lot has happened other than My Grandparents got their mission call to New Zealand! I'm way excited. Well that's about it. Until next time!

Madre's Day

HI EVERYONE! So Mother's day went splendid. Since I am just SO far away from my amazing mother, I thought thought Mother's day was going to be a little sad this year. No waking up at the "bum" crack of dawn to make her breakfast, no creating little menus for dinner and cooking it myself AD doing dishes, no buying her flowers and reminding her to water them so they don't DIE, and no being able to just cuddle up to her and act like I'm 12 again. I was getting bummed. THEN Friday My Beautiful Grandmother called me and told me that she and my Grandfather would be speaking in their Home Ward as a "Farwell" since they recieved their Mission call to serve in New Zealand. I forgot that they would be leaving in June, and noticed that time had flew by! I then though, "Of course! What better to spend Mother's day with the Mother who gave birth to one of YOUR parents! The Mother who taught them what THEY know!" so Sunday Morning I left at the crack of dawn pretty much to drive an hour and a half to my Grandparents house for church and family dinner afterwards. It was such an amazing Sunday! I was reminded at how much we Women do! And it made me respect my Mom and Grandma, shoot EVERY MOM afterwards.

Sadly I had to leave fairly early to get ready and go to bed at a decent hour to work early today (the next day, being Monday) but thought, "OH WAIT! Even better! Meridith (my sister on a mission) gets to call home, which means she's going to call me!"......she never called. Actually, My parents forgot about me. ok ok, maybe not FORGOT about me, but they definatly never thought to three-way call me. But it's all good. After that I arrived home and spoke with my mom some more. IT was a great relaxing evening. AND as far as the Video for the day, you HAVE to check this out!

My Mother's Poem

I would like to dedicate this poem to My loving, teaching, Humble, Kind, mother Michelle Rene for everything she has done for me, she's always sacrificing so much for us kids and has been doing so for her family even back in her day. even though it's just a poem, I wrote it for her as a partial Birthday Present to show her a portion of her worth and the gratitude I feel towards her. I know it sounds cliche, but I honestly would be so lost if it wasn't for her and my Dad. Love you Both. (it's pretty long and I wrote it a while ago so it's not the best but ya... hehe)

Through Diapers To dresses,

from bottles ,to bows,

I love you so much

only heaven knows

I love how you're flawless,

and everything I want to be,

I love how you're my best friend,

and always there for me,

I hate when I make you sad,

and can never be ok with myself when I do,

I could say it so many times,

but it still wouldn't be enough "I love you's"

you're my role model for life,

and the best Mother on Earth,

my Dad is a lucky guy,

cause you're his wife, from you he learns,

you always amaze me,

With all your talents you have,

and to have you as my mother,

I'm truly lucky, blessed and glad.

because I look all around me,

at all those other mothers and see,

not one of them is as amazing,

or like you,a perfected human being,

Mom you've been there for me,

through ups and downs,

through PMS and break -ups,

and smiles and frowns,

I want to express my gratitude,

but truly don't know how,

so I'm writing you this poem,

and dedicating it to you now,

you've taught me all I know,

and kept me in line,I wish I was perfect for you,

cause YOU ARE THE PERFECT MOTHER OF MINE,

I only hope and pray,

that when I have kids of my own,

I can be like you someday,

cause you're perfect Mom...from head to toe.

I love you Mom.

Even when work hours are cut back I'm still crazy busy!

Don't you guys just love this weather! And yes I'm even talking about last night when it was raining and Thundering! I love the Thunder, especially with the rain and lightening. Probably because it helps me fall asleep since it reminds me of my hometown back in Cali. Well the weekend went great, we (Stuart and I) were able to get some service in, which is always good, then I rearranged my room and did some cleaning. We even got into some fun arts and crafts that I can't really talk about because one of them was for one of you and hasn't been mailed off yet. Good times. Anyways, I'm pretty excited because I was browsing online and found out that my old Teaching position has opened back up! I called to see if the same director (principle) was there but it turns out she hasn't been in over a year (oops) but I was speaking with the new gal and she seemed to like me, so I have a Interview Wednesday Morning. Wish me Luck! other than that I've also recently joined a dance crew.

Turns out a while back when I went to the LDS dance club in Salt Lake one of their "scouts" was there and impressed by my "dance skills" (crazy i know!) they called me up and offered me a spot and so I thought it'd be fun to learn more about it, then eventually take it. The Dance Crew (still don't know the name of it) has part ownership of a dance club in Sandy and will be in charged of pumping the audience up for celebrity performers as well as main acts. Every night we also put on a performance too. I'm excited to see where everything goes. With things like that though you have to be careful, TIPS: ALSO ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS ABOUT WHAT TYPE OF ENVIRONMENT IT IS AND DANCING YOU WILL BE PERFORMING. I have to remember to tell myself this isn't the Small town where I'm from, and there is so much worldly things nowadays. luckily this one is far from it. Anywho, that's my random chatter for today. Later tonight for FHE we're going to the Joseph Smith memorial building and will be watching the Joseph Smith movie. I'm excited for it. Man I'm just excited for so much! haha

Things I'll never try again:

4/30/09

Hi everybody! I'm not gonna lie, I was really excited when I saw all my comments. I'm sure 5 isn't a lot compared to others BUT at least I got some! So I wasn't sure as to what to write about today, but luckily the room mates never fail to keep ideas and experiences from happening. Tonight after work I did some visiting teaching then retired to my lovely home to have a nice quiet remainder of the day. After taking a brief nap, Stuart came over with a movie. The movie was kind of boring so I went upstairs to browse the Internet (haha), and there was Serena.....oooh Serena. We were looking online at "how to do" certain things to improve our health. We found out that you can increase the size of your veins by eating a lot of Iron and vitamins. THEN, we found out if you take vitamin C with Iron it boosts the Iron amount. Since I was cutting my favorite fruit, the amazing MANGO she realized, "HEY! Mango's have Vitamin C! Let's take some Molasses because it has iron in it!" Serena is very wise and knows what she is talking about, and got really excited with this idea, so obviously, I'm going to be pumped! She takes her molasses out of the cupboard and gets two spoons out. She says that we have to take two spoon fulls, so I ask her what it'll taste like (I am THEE worst at swallowing anything other than beverages) she replies and says "Nasty, but just don't let it hit your tongue." I knew right then this was going to turn out badly.

I get myself ready for the first take. I stand in front of her, slightly bended knees, hands out in front of me, then wonder why I look like I'm about to get tackled in a football game. Then Serena Asks the question you should never ask anyone you are about to give nasty medicine to; "Ready?" she says. I don't know if anyone is ever ready to taste what I was about to taste next. She puts the spoon in my mouth, and scrapes the remainder of what is on the spoon off on my teeth to make sure I get ALL of it. I feel it go down my throat and think "Hey this isn't too bad" but then my taste buds turn back on after I stop holding my breath..... thus begins the dry heaving. My gag reflexes are awesome, and I rarely ever do that "fake about to throw up" thing/noise, but THIS was DISGUSTING! next thing I know I'm running around shoving whatever is closest in my mouth trying to get some actually good taste on my tongue. Serena is Laughing by the counter. I Decided at that moment that I would never take raw molasses EVER again and that I probably won't be able to eat Molasses Cookies in my life. I also realized that I would never be able to taste black licorice the same way. Why you ask? because I am not joking when I say Molasses tastes like rotten, moldy, expired Black Licorice. Well, I hope today's blog made sense. It's getting late and I'm kinda just babbling on but I hope it's somewhat entertaining for you =) I've also Attached some funny/cute random pictures. Mostly of me and Payton Mae (Amanda's Oldest) Thanks for reading!

THINGS I LEARNED TODAY:

How to Eat like Filipino's do (thanks Serena!)

The people you visit teach love it when you bring them home made Bread!

Inventing a new recipe seems to be my thing! (sometimes)

Iron is boosted when taken with Vitamin C

Molasses is Nasty

The Human foot never seems to stop amazing me with how many things can go wrong with it.

The Start of a new......blog page?

04/29/09

First off, I would like to welcome everyone to my blog page! Or lack of. I have seen a few people with these blog pages floating around, but after moving out to Utah I was amazed at how many there were! I didn't ever think I would get one considering the fact that I already have a Facebook and can barely keep up with that since it's always changing, but then My Lovely room mate talked me into, or more like - posted the most hideous pictures of me on hers and so I thought I may have to do some of my own picture posts so you didn't think she was living with Chubaca (from Star Wars).

Today was a pretty good day, I no longer have two jobs, just the one working as an M.A. (Medical Assistant) for a Podiatrist office and so I have 4 days off this week! woooo! I like the fact that I have some extra time now as opposed to working 60 hour weeks like before, but that feeling quickly goes away as I look at my direct deposit and realize I'm a little short on rent. Sometimes I wish the Bank of Mom and Dad was an option, then remember it never has been.I deicded it was time to buckle down on job hunting and so in the morning I went around checking up on applications then went to Salt Lake to work out at my Gym. After a *cough* one hour*Cough* long workout, we ate some lunch and went to Sugarhouse park and fed ducks, then met up with some friends and went to the Temple, it was so beautiful as always! The rest of the evening consisted of making new goals for Stuart , well mostly Serena did, and then we talked to Serena about her awesome hot date with an NBA player - no really. totally happened. Most of you reading this already know me, and my living situation but just in case, so there is no confusion, I live with 4 other Girls named Serena, Shauna, Lisa and Jesse - oh I guess Jesse doesn't count since he is Serena's brother and only comes around when there is food. So 3 girls. for real. Well I hope I made this blog somewhat entertaining and got you excited to read more as days pass! Until Then-
